From Matt Knott, Post Commander…

Another month has passed!  We had a good September at the club.  Thanks to all of your help when it is needed.  Volunteers are always needed & thanks to all of you who have stepped forward.

The Post meeting is Oct. 11th at 10:00 AM.  We need all of your input to keep our club going forward.  Please plan to attend.

Check your calendar for the events of the month & plan to be a part of them.

Please keep all our military here & abroad in your prayers.  Our thoughts & prayers are with families who are dealing with the loss of a loved one or illness.  Special condolences to David & his family in the loss of his brother.

      Have a good October!

From Wendy Holsapple, Auxiliary President…

Fall arrived on the 21st according to the calendar, but it’s nice to still have sunny warm temperatures, as everyone still has work to be done outside.  If you are still canning and freezing vegetables like me, it has been nice to have the temperature nice this time of year.

Reminder if you have not paid your dues, please do so ASAP to save us the expense of mailing out reminders.

Lorraine Schmitz will be placing an order for cancer jewelry Monday Oct 8th.  If you want to order pins, earrings or charms, contact her at 218-652-3129 or e-mail her at sunfish@eot.com

The Kids Halloween Party will be held October 25th, 2008 from 2-4 p.m.

Again, ladies be thinking of ideas for the Christmas Bake and Craft Sale to be held the first part of December,  We hope to have a another good sale and with many vendors this year.

Keep our service men and women and their families in our prayers.  We would like to express our prayers and thoughts to anyone of our members who are ill or who are recovering from surgery and to express our sympathies and prayers to those who have lost someone close to them.

Hunters:  Good luck, and hunt safe and enjoy the hunting season as it goes till the end of the year.  If hunting isn't your sport, you can cheer the MN Twins, MN Vikings or your favorite Racer in NASCAR.

Our prayers, thoughts and sympathy go out to our fellow members, relatives or friends who are in need of prayers of thanksgiving and comfort; as well as, our servicemen and women and families.
