received

wonderful
egg
breakfast,
terrific
service
and very
reasonably
priced -
I'd
highly
recommend
a visit
to Em's.

Farmers’
Market
held
exactly?
I don’t
see
anything
stating
the
location
of the
market
on your

to ATV -
love the
PB State
Trail
and plan

We saw before there was
information about a
campground/restaurant in
the Paul Bunyan Forest??

Found your site and saw
the motel is open.
stayed there this last
weekend.
reasonable, pretty nice
and clean. we will
use it again so we can
ATV/play in your nice
area. GREAT Em's
breakfast also very
reasonable.
why can't you people get
the PBD carnival rides
problem solved????

Spring we saw an ad to a
website for camping &
riding in the Bunyan
Forest. Stomping
Grounds?? We can't
find info and searches
don't find the right
place. Thankx.
The closest Golf Course
is 7 miles east of
Akeley near Walker.

over Paul Bunyan
Days, my return is
way over due to the
cemetery. I would
spend my summers
with her at the
Resort she had on
10th Crow wing, the
best times of my
life to be exact!!

I was born in Akeley on march 28
1937.my grandparents were Fred
and Muriel Clough. We lived on
the corner beside the school
house. grandmother was the cook
at the school for over
. 18 years. I saw an article in
USA today about Paul Bunyan
there in Akeley and it brought
back memories of my childhood
there. I live now in Alabama but
still have family in
MN.

Akeley is the
'BIRTHPLACE' of Paul Bunyan, His cradle
is here, and Akeley has the largest
statue of him. He is kneeling.
There is an email
going around the internet with Minnesota
facts and it lists Akeley as the home of
Paul Bunyon. I thought Brainerd, MN was
the home of Paul Bunyon. So the one in
Akely is kneeling and the one in
Brainerd is standing? Is that the
difference? We used to have a lake home
on Gull Lake in Brainerd so we are
familier with the area but never heard
of Akeley. Sounds like a great place.

Yes the Ice is all the way out on 10th Crow
Wing Lake. Crappies are bitting.

The park could use some funding to fix the roads
and bathrooms they definitely need to be tended
to. Everyone who comes to visit the park really
likes Greg Everette, he makes it a great place
to come to and I feel that he sure could a
increase in pay it is a huge commitment to run
the park and it would be hard to replace him he
is the reason that people come back year after
year it is because of his extreme friendliness.
It would be nice to see the city help businesses
make it and reface the city. It sure could use
a sprucing up. And please make some rules or laws in
the city that make residents clean up there yards in
the spring the city has no curb appeal at all.

I live in spirit Lake IA. I am looking for a retired
priest named Father Paul Halloran. He was my priest back
in 1972 in Pipestone MN, when my father died, and then
in 1974 when my mother passed away. I hear father
Halloran lives here? any info you can give me would be
very much appreciated, i would like him to know how
special he was to my self and my 5 other siblings at the
